There is nothing better

I love it when mom's send me photo's of their children with the items I've made.

There really is nothing better than seeing something you put so much love into making, being used.

This was one of the first pop of colour blankets I made, the hot pink was screaming to be made into something that would really make it pop.

Mama did an amazing job at styling baby S, the tutu and headband match perfectly.

I was also given a special request to make this owl sleep set. Though it could have definitely been made longer, I'm pretty pleased with the outcome.

I can't wait to see how she grows with her blanket, when I'm making them I always envision toddlers waddling around dragging the blanket behind them. I love that something I made will become a part of their child hood and their memories for years to come.

It's not such a bad legacy to leave behind.

  1. Awwww....How adorable! You are so talented! ^_^

  2. My daughter kept her blanket until she was 7. Then she acquired a new kitten and brought tears to my eyes when she said to it "here's your new blanket". I knew nothing about babies when I had her and I will always be grateful to the health visitor who told me all about comfort blankets.

    1. Thanks for that story, that is what I always think about when I'm making my blankets. My hope is always that it will be the favorite blanket and be carried all through childhood. Used to keep monsters and bad dreams away and create a comfort no matter where they are. Even if one of my blankets becomes that to a child I'd be forever happy.

  3. So so pretty. This blanket is now a part of her life story
