I feel like I've been working on this blanket forever!
And quite possibly I have been, but you see Christmas got in the middle.
I was in a Wedding,
and let's face it, there were other projects that took center stage.
Though this is the first time I've shown what I named the "I'm not picky blanket"
I actually started it last summer. My mom had just fallen off the roof of her house and broken her ankle. I knew after that most summer plans would be a thing of the past, and decided to start a new and lengthy project.
I had never crocheted such a large blanket before and decided now was the time to make it happen.
I called it the "I'm Not Picky Blanket" because when I went online, I bought literally every color in the collection of yarn.
When I received the yarn I took out the very dark brown, the black, and a kind of slimy color, than kept the rest. Hence I'm not picky with the colors.
Now thankfully I'm in the home stretch. I could not be happier with my decision to tied in the ends as I got each quarter of the blanket finished. The thought of having to sew them all in at the end gives me nightmares!
The pattern is a Granny Stripe blanket with clusters of 3 dc. I'll have more on the pattern when I post the finished blanket and have a chance to write out all of the information.
Out of all of the color combinations this was by far my favorite.
So naturally I made it the edging!
All there is left is a few ends to tie in for the border and a good wash and blocking.
I am sad to not be able to work on it anymore but, excited to start using it.
